Why an introductory clinic?

Although pickleball can be easily learned, it’s always better to have hands-on experience. Jax Pickleball Store owner Andy will demo pickleball paddles, serving, and more, as well as answer any questions you have. By the time you’re done, you’ll have active play experience under your belt, which will help you immensely as you continue to learn.

What will you learn?

When you’re learning how to play pickleball, you’ll be taught the ins and outs. This includes the different sections of the court, how to properly serve the ball, what to do in active play, scoring, and more. Andy will demonstrate before allowing you to practice serving and hitting the ball across the net. Once you feel comfortable, we’ll move into active play so you can feel what it’s like to compete against opponents.

Where to play?

There are numerous pickleball courts available in Jacksonville, Orange Park, and the surrounding areas. We’ve compiled a list of pickleball courts nearby, as well as if they are free to play or need a registration fee to access.

Jeff Kinlaw

After being a USPTA Certified tennis instructor for 20 years, pickleball slipped in and took over. After picking up the game of pickleball in 2019 and becoming PPR Certified in 2020, I love the opportunity to be court and teaching lessons and clinics. Sharing the game of pickleball is important because I want everyone to have the chance to learn about and how to play the game of pickleball.
